Skin Cancer

Project type

Marketing and Advertising Design | User Interface Design | Publication Design

Shining a light on overlooked areas: This initiative focuses on raising awareness about skin cancer, particularly melanoma, in people of color—a demographic often overlooked in traditional campaigns. The project harnesses the power of emojis, which are universally recognized yet often used with playful double meanings.

Certain fruits and vegetables have come to symbolize intimate body parts, cleverly highlighting the areas of the body that tend to be covered and receive less sunlight. These areas are key to early skin cancer detection, especially for people with darker skin tones, where moles and other indicators can be harder to spot. The goal was to encourage early diagnosis and timely treatment by making the invisible, visible.
